Asthi Kalash of late Atal Bihari Vajpayee reaches Kolkata

Kolkata (WB), Aug 23 (ANI): The Asthi Kalash of late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee reached Kolkata in WestBengal to be immersed in Ganga Sagar River today. West Bengal State President of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) Dilip Ghosh brought the urn containing ashes of Atal Bihari Vajpayee wrapped in red cloth to the state BJP office in Kolkata on Wednesday night. Top leaders of BJP of West Bengal were present at the event organised at the state BJP state office to commemorate the late statesman and patriarch who died on August 16 at 93. The ashes of Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be immersed in Ganga Sagar River today. Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s ashes will be immersed in rivers across the country, with top leaders participating in a ritual that has been dubbed "Atal Kalash Yatra" by the ruling BJP. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah handed over urns wrapped in red cloth containing Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s ashes to state party chiefs at an event organized Tuesday morning.
