Siliguri (West Bengal), Aug 23 (ANI): Siliguri Municipal Corporation ward no. 1 councilor Malti Rai was allegedly attacked by Trinamool Congress supporters at her residence on Wednesday. Bharatiya Janata Party Leader Avijeet Roy Choudhary condemned the incident saying the councilor was alone at home when she was attacked. TMC Leader Ranjan Sarkar expressed concern over the attack and said strict actions should be taken against the culprit. A case has been registered in this regard and further investigation is underway.
