Rajouri, J&K, Feb 07 (ANI): With an initiative to empower women of the far-flung areas, the Centre has introduced a skill development programme in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. The girls who have dropped out from their schools or are living in economic austerity join these training centers and learn various handicraft works and also get a stipend of Rs. 500 per month. This initiative aims to provide self employment to the girls, and also gives special preference to orphans, backward castes and widows. Till now, 23 centers have been opened so far.
