आस्था का महापर्व छठ का चार दिवसीय अनुष्ठान शुक्रवार को रवियोग में नहाय-खाय के साथ शुरू हो गया है. आज छठ पर्व का दूसरा दिन है. आज व्रती खरना का प्रसाद ग्रहण करने के बाद व्रती 36 घंटे का निर्जला अनुष्ठान का संकल्प लेंगे. षष्ठी यानी रविवार (19 नवंबर) की शाम अस्ताचलगामी सूर्य को अर्घ्य दिया जायेगा. अनुष्ठान के अंतिम दिन सप्तमी सोमवार 20 नवंबर को उदीयमान सूर्य को अर्घदेकर आयु- आरोग्यता, यश का आशीर्वाद लेंगे. छठ पूजा में छठी मैया और सूर्य देव की अराधाना की जाती है, इस पर्व की तैयारियां कई दिन पहले से शुरू हो जाती हैं, लेकिन इस पर्व का मुख्य दिन होता है कार्तिक शुक्ल पक्ष की षष्ठी तिथि. छठ पूजन के लिए सिंदूर, थाली, लोटा, चावल, शकरकंद, हल्दी, शहद, ठेकुआ का प्रसाद समेत अन्य सामग्री की आवश्यकता होती है. यहां देखें छठ पूजा की सामग्री लिस्ट.
The four-day ritual of Chhath, the great festival of faith, has started on Friday with Nahay-Khay in Raviyog. Today is the second day of Chhath festival. Today, after receiving the Prasad of Vrati Kharna, the Vrati will take a pledge of 36 hours of Nirjala ritual. Arghya will be offered to the setting sun on the evening of Shashthi i.e. Sunday (19 November). On the last day of the ritual, Saptami Monday, 20th November, offer water to the rising sun and seek blessings of age, health and fame. In Chhath Puja, Chhathi Maiya and Sun God are worshipped, preparations for this festival start several days in advance, but the main day of this festival is the Shashti Tithi of Kartik Shukla Paksha.
