Shimla, Dec 28 (ANI): The state museum of Himachal Pradesh drew attention of tourists from all over as it preserves the history and culture starting from third century to the modern era. The curator of the state museum said that this was started on Jan 26, 1974 with an objective to preserve the history and culture of Himachal Pradesh. He said that the objects displayed belonged to Indian archaeology, state heritage, anthropology, archaeological excavated material from different parts of the state, contemporary art and also has ornaments jewellery and currency of different era here. The foreign visitors were pleased to see the collection and said it is a learning experience for them. Reflecting the culture, customs, history and lifestyle of Himachal Pradesh this museum is a gateway to the tourists visiting the region.
