During the meeting, Obama promised Trump to lend full support to him, saying that the latter’s success eventually means success of the nation. ‘We’ll do everything we can to help you succeed because if you succeed, the country succeeds,’ said President Obama. Trump also asserted that he looks forward to work with President Obama and take counsel from him.
