Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), May 31 (ANI): Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for betraying farmers and said that the farmers showed their anger by voting against them. He said, “The government has betrayed the people. The sugarcane farmers were urging for dues. BJP promised farmers’ loan waivers and instead they lost their lives. I thank the farmers that they showed their anger against the government by not giving them mandate.” RLD’s Tabassum Hasan won the Kairana constituency election with the alliance of Samajwadi Party, Nationalist Congress Party, Congress Party, Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) among others defeating BJP’s Mriganka Singh. The Samajwadi Party has won on Noorupur as well defeating BJP.
