The Congress leader said that EC should work according to the Constitution and law and should not let information leak. The reaction from Congress came after BJP’s IT Cell chief Amit Malviya tweeted Karnataka election dates before the official announcement by the Election Commission which sparked controversy. The BJP IT Cell chief’s tweet read, “Karnataka will vote on 12May2018, counting on 18May2018”. Amit Malviya soon deleted his tweet after the Election Commission’s announcement.
