Navratri 8th Day: आज नवरात्रि का आठवां दिन है. मां दुर्गा के आठवें स्वरूप को महागौरी कहा जाता है. दुर्गा अष्टमी के दिन मां महागौरी की पूजा की जाती है. इनकी चार भुजाएं हैं. दाहिनी ओर का ऊपर वाला हाथ अभय मुद्रा में रहता है तो वहीं नीचे वाले हाथ में मां त्रिशूल धारण करती हैं. बाईं ओर के ऊपर वाले हाथ में डमरु रहता है तो नीचे वाला हाथ वर मुद्रा में रहता है. महागौरी का पूजन करने से समस्त पापों का क्षय हो जाता है एवं इसके साथ ही चेहरे की कांति बढ़ती है व शत्रु समाप्त होते हैं.

Navratri 8th Day: Today is the eighth day of Navratri. The eighth form of Maa Durga is called Mahagauri. Mother Mahagauri is worshiped on the day of Durga Ashtami. They have four arms. The upper right hand remains in Abhaya Mudra while the mother holds a trident in the lower hand. The upper left hand holds a drum while the lower hand remains in Vara Mudra. By worshiping Mahagauri, all sins are destroyed and along with this the glow of the face increases and enemies are eliminated.
