Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 13 (ANI): Shivpal Singh Yadav, who floated his own party Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party-Lohia (PSP-L) after leaving the Samajwadi Party (SP) is dissatisfied with the alliance between Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party. Shivpal Singh Yadav said that the SP-BSP alliance have been formed out of fear from Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Yadav said this amid reports that Akhilesh Yadav will be questioned in the sand mining scam. Yadav said, “Neta ji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) ne jab gatbandhan kiya tha tab toh koi arop tha nahi, CBI darr tha nahi. CBI ke darr ki wajah se ye gathbandhan ho rahe hain. Aur ye gatbandhan safal nahi hai.” “Ye gathbandhan nahi hai, thagbandhan hai,” added Yadav. The CBI is probing the illegal sand mining that took place between 2012 and 2016 in Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, Akhilesh Yadav’s role will also be examined as he was the Chief Minister during this period and held the mining department for a year. Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati have announced an alliance in UP for the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections in a joint press meet in Lucknow on January 12.
