Janata Party (BJP) won the Karnataka Assembly elections 2018 by securing 104 seats followed by Congress 78 and JD(S) 37. Siddaramaiah handed over his resignation as the Karnataka CM to the Governor after the results. Meanwhile, Congress Party and JD(S) held meeting in a hotel in Bengaluru.
