New Delhi, Aug 14 (ANI): Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar on Tuesday launched a road safety awareness campaign by releasing a series of videos in New Delhi. Akshay Kumar is also the brand ambassador of Indian government’s road safety campaign. He launched the videos in the presence of Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and other officials. Kumar said that he agreed to become the brand ambassador soon after he came across the huge figures related to road accidents. Kumar said he feels that people often don’t pay any importance to such awareness messages so to absorb their interest he has made these light-hearted but informative videos. India has the world’s deadliest roads, with almost 150,000 people killed in accidents in 2015, the latest government data shows.
