सशस्त्र बलों में अब अग्निपथ योजना के तहत महिलाओं को सैनिकों, नाविकों और वायु योद्धाओं के रूप में भर्ती करने के साथ, रक्षा मंत्रालय ने उन्हें बड़े अधिकारियों के समान मैटर्निटी, चाइल्ड केयर और चाइल्ड अडॉप्शन की छुट्टी देने के प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी दे दी है. रक्षा मंत्रालय के एक अधिकारी ने कहा “रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने सभी महिलाओं, चाहे अधिकारी हों या अन्य रैंक, को ऐसी छुट्टी देने के लिए नए नियमों को मंजूरी दे दी है. इस उपाय से सेना में महिलाओं की कामकाजी स्थितियों में सुधार होगा और उन्हें पेशेवर और पारिवारिक जीवन के क्षेत्रों में बेहतर तरीके से संतुलन बनाने में मदद मिलेगी.”
With the armed forces now recruiting women as soldiers, sailors and air warriors under the Agneepath scheme, the Defense Ministry has approved a proposal to give them maternity, child care and child adoption leave at par with senior officers. A Defense Ministry official said, “Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has approved new rules to grant such leave to all women, whether officers or other ranks. “This measure will improve the working conditions of women in the Army and help them better balance the areas of professional and family life.”
