New Delhi, Apr 13 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated Dr Ambedkar National Memorial at Alipur Road in the national capital on the eve of Babasaheb Ambedkar’s birth anniversary. Dr Ambedkar National Memorial is built in shape of an open constitution book. The memorial is an amalgamation of Modern and Buddhist architecture. Spread over nearly 2 acres, it has been built at a cost of Rs 100 crores. The highlights of the Memorial are Musical fountains, a replica of the Ashoka pillar at Sarnath and a 12 feet high bronze statue. Celebrated as Ambedkar Jayanti, Babasaheb’s birth anniversary falls on April 14.
