Guwahati (Assam), Jul 15 (ANI): Assam got its first transgender judge, Swati Bidhan Baruah, who took charge in a people’s court in the city on Saturday. Baruah has become the third transgender judge of the country. When asked about her appointment Baruah explained the journey she had taken to become a judge of people’s court and how she forced authoritites to properly implement the National Legal Services Authority judgment.
