New Delhi, Jun 26 (ANI): Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj attended ‘Passport Seva Diwas’ at Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan on June 26. While addressing the gathering, EAM Swaraj said, "Married women and even men complained that their marriage certificates were required at passport office. We felt it was unnecessary, hence we scraped the rule." She further added, "Some distressed divorced women contacted me saying they are required to fill the name of ex-husband. Their children experienced distress being questioned about their estranged father. So we scraped the rule."
