New Delhi, Dec 07 (ANI): Senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar was suspended from primary membership of Congress Party on Thursday after sparking controversy by calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a ‘neech aadmi'(low-level person). Aiyar has also been served a show cause notice by the party over his comments on Narendra Modi. Earlier, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi said he did not appreciate the tone and language used by Aiyar to address the PM. "Both the Congress and I expect him to apologise for what he said, "Rahul Gandhi said in a tweet. Aiyar’s comments were in apparent response to PM Narendra Modi subtly attacking Jawaharlal Nehru at a rally in Gujarat.
