Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh), July 06 (ANI): Roads were submerged and houses were flooded in Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur, as rains poured down in torrents, bringing normal life to a standstill. Commuters were stranded as traffic movement was disrupted. Residents were forced to wade through knee high waters to get from one place to another. As water entered several houses on the ground level, people took to manually draining it out using vessels. A local resident said that even if it rains for 10 or 15 minutes the entire city gets flooded. Residents claimed that water logging was a perennial problem.
