A PROFILE
Prabhat
Khabar, the leading daily of Jharkhand Region is running a Kids
Club, this year we have named it Fun nation Kids Club. The club
is for children in the age group of 4-14 years. In the first phase
of the launch, we covered Ranchi, and subsequently, the club membership
will be extended to the children in other cities in Jharkhand viz.
Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Deoghar etc.
The club was launched on 14/11/04, as an attempt to give children
an opportunity to explore their talents beyond the academic curriculum.
It provides a platform where children can acknowledge their potential
and participate in various competitions, awareness programs and
entertainment shows organized by the club.
The
motive is to ensure an overall development of the children here,
by entertaining and encouraging them in all their endeavors. The
members have welcomed the activities organized by the club in the
past most enthusiastically:
- A picnic to Fun Castle (a theme park with rides for children)
- A trip to the Aqua World (gives knowledge about aqua life-fishes)
- Christmas carnival with Capitol Hill
- Camps in various schools in Ranchi
- Movie shows (Children Films)
- Talent hunt
We
plan to organize more of such activities on a regular basis for
the children here. Depending upon their school schedule and vacations.
On larger scale, we want to organize quiz, movie shows and other
programs, fete, various competitions, etc.
To
become a member, a student has to pay a token membership
fee of Rs.75/-, in lieu of which the child gets gifts worth
more than the fee value, immediately on becoming a member, and free
or privileged participation in almost all the events organized by
Prabhat Khabar for the children. The membership is valid
for a period of one year on renewal basis.
This
being the first such effort in Ranchi, we aim to make it very successful
among the children and help build their self-esteem. In today’s
competitive era, it is very important that a child is well prepared
in all aspect, and is able to visualize a bright future for herself.
We would be glad if you could join us in our cause and help us deliver
better results to the children here and enable them keep pace with
children in bigger cities.
To
market our Fun Nation Kids Club, we organize School events
on regular basis, which helps us to come in contact with children
of different schools and thus gives us an opportunity to increase
our base of Kids club members.
